At first glance, a heated pool can look like a simple comfort, a warmer shade of blue on a booking page. In many properties, that is exactly what it is: a technical specification rather than a considered part of the experience.

At Red-House, the pool was conceived differently. It is not just an amenity, but an extension of the living space, something to inhabit, move through, and linger in throughout the day.

The 9 x 15-meter lagoon-style infinity pool was designed around how people actually use water when they are on holiday. One end remains shallow, only 50 centimeters deep, so children feel secure and adults can sit, lounge, or even ease a sun lounger partially into the water for a cooling ‘shimmer pool’ effect. At the far end, the pool stretches longer to allow for proper morning laps, a simple ritual that sets a calm tone for the day.

The pool is heated, but intentionally remains a pool, not a spa. The warmth invites you in and makes swimming comfortable, while still preserving the clarity, refreshment, and openness that define a proper body of water.

Within the main pool sits a dedicated hydro-therapy section. From here, you look straight out across the infinity edge toward the Atlantic, where water seems to merge seamlessly with the horizon. In this zone, the experience comes from movement of the water itself: a gentle bubble system that creates a soft, massaging sensation across the body, alongside separate jets that can be used to release deeper tension in the back and shoulders. The buoyancy of the water naturally lightens the body, making it easier to relax and breathe more slowly.

Around the pool, the setting has been composed with the same intention. Oversized double sun loungers encourage couples to share space comfortably, and there is enough seating for all eight guests without crowding.

Three mature Yucca trees frame the poolside, offering patches of natural shade throughout the day. Hidden within each tree is a wind chime tuned to a different tone; subtle on their own, together they form a gentle, ever-changing soundtrack that moves with the breeze. It is not something most guests consciously notice, but it is something they feel.

What makes this pool different is not extravagance, but coherence. Depth, temperature, views, movement, sound, and space all work together to create a single, fluid experience rather than a collection of features. In the end, a heated pool can be just that, or it can become a place that shapes how you begin your day, how you connect with others, and how you slow down into the rhythm of your stay.

At Red-House, it was designed to be the latter.
